This week is National Nurses Week, a time to honor and celebrate all that nurses to for us and our community – and though we should be honoring them every day, this week the spotlight shines directly on these amazing men and women.
Here with Pat Ciarrocchi is Lorina Marshall-Blake, President of the Independence Blue Cross Foundation. Lorena talks about the importance of partnerships, education, and creating a pipeline of future nurses. IBC Foundation has hugely supported through:
- A decade of nursing support and over $15 million dollar investment
- Being a founding funder of Robert Wood Johnson Future of Nursing Scholars program
- Partnering with 22 nursing schools through scholarships and nursing internship program
