I-76 in Philadelphia reopens after closing due to brush fire on railroad tracks

I-76 eastbound lanes reopen near the Schuylkill Expressway after brush fire

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Interstate 76 in Philadelphia has reopened after it was closed for nearly an hour due to a brush fire on railroad tracks on Tuesday afternoon. 

Part of I-76 eastbound was closed between Exit 342 Girard Avenue and the Philadelphia Zoo and Exit 343 Spring Garden Street while crews responded to the scene. The highway reopened around 4:30 p.m. 

SEPTA said there were reports of a fire near Penn Medicine Station, but the blaze did not impact operations on the railroad.
