After arriving, troopers said they found a blue Honda Civic crashed on a hill next to the right shoulder. Medics treated the Honda driver, a 62-year-old man, for injuries on the scene.

Investigators also found a 41-year-old father and his 8-year-old son at the scene.

Through their investigation, officials found the 62-year-old shot at the father and son's car while they were both driving on I-476. The cars crashed into each other sending the Honda over into the grass.

The father and son were not injured in the shooting or the crash, officials said. The 62-year-old man was taken to Paoli Hospital for injuries.

Traffic was delayed for nearly two hours but resumed normal activity in both directions shortly before 3 p.m.
