Husband And Wife Allegedly Teamed Up To Rob Delaware Gas Station

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) -- A married couple has been charged with robbing a Valero gas station on April 30.

According to detectives, a 23-year-old clerk was cleaning of the parking lot of the gas station when Matthew Drupieski, 29, entered the business wearing a mask and carrying a knife. He was hiding in the business when his wife, Randi Drupieski, 29, allegedly lured the clerk inside, claiming she wanted to buy cigarettes.

Before completing her purchase, Randi told the clerk she needed to get money from her vehicle and left. Matthew allegedly came out from hiding and demanded money from the employee while brandishing a knife.

After obtaining an unknown amount of cash, he fled the gas station.

Detectives were able to link the couple to the robbery and apprehended Randi on May 13. She has been charged with robbery and conspiracy. She was released after posting $21,000 secured bail.

On May 23, Matthew surrendered to authorities and was charged with robbery, conspiracy, wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, and possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited.

He was released after posting $57,000 secured bail.
