Hundreds Celebrate 3rd Annual Philadelphia Pagan Pride Day

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Hundreds turned out for the 3rd annual Philadelphia Pagan Pride Day at Clark Park in West Philadelphia Saturday.
Priestess Queen Auset-heru was calling upon the goddess asking her for help.
She is a priestess of Ma'at which is an ancient Egyptian spiritual system.
"Basically its about being truthful being honest, being loved, being light, being balanced. That is my creed."
Philadelphia Pagan Pride Day is a celebration of harvest reflecting on Pagan, Heathen, Wiccan and other religious beliefs and practices.
Orginizer Rob Schreiwer led one of the workshops called Braucherei, a healing tradition of the Pennsylvania German culture. It includes with chants spells and herbalism.
"Our goal is to build family to build community and to really get people to seee that life is worth living." said Schreiwer.
Donations of food were also being collected to benefit the Mazzonie Center, Forgotten Cats and In-Reach Heathen Prison services.
