Hamels Looks For First Win As Phillies Host Toronto
By Matt Leon
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Phillies are back at .500 (15-15) after Monday night's 3-0 loss to J.A. Happ and the Blue Jays. They will look to get back in the win column tonight as they host Toronto again.
After tonight's game, these two teams will continue this series north of the border with games in Toronto on Wednesday and Thursday nights.
Cole Hamels will get the start for the Phillies. He is 0-2 this season in two starts with a 6.75 ERA. After pitching well, but taking a loss, in Los Angeles in his season debut, Hamels was not sharp in his second start against the Mets. He allowed six runs on eight hits and five walks in a 6-1 defeat last Tuesday.
In his career against the Blue Jays, Hamels is 0-2 in three starts with a 6.75 ERA.
Toronto will start 23-year-old right-hander Drew Hutchinson in this one. He is 1-2 this season with a 3.82 ERA.
KYW's Matt Leon spoke to Corey Seidman of Phillies Nation about the Phillies and what to look for from Hamels tonight.
