Gunman Sought After Store Clerk Shot, Killed In South Jersey
MOUNT HOLLY, N.J. (CBS) - Authorities are searching for the gunman they say fatally shot a convenience store clerk Wednesday night in Willingboro Township, Burlington County.
Police received reports of shots fired in the area of the Quick N Go convenience store in the 100 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard just before 8:30 p.m.
Arriving officers found a man – identified as 32-year-old Matthew Mwinsori - in the street suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead about one hour later.
Investigators say the suspect entered the store and moments later, the suspect and the victim exited to the parking lot, where it is believed the shooting occurred.
No arrests have been made.
The suspect is believed to be a black male who is in his twenties or thirties, 5'6-5'9 with a medium to heavy build. He was wearing a black mask that covered the top half of his face, a light-colored hoodie under a blue/gray sweater or sweatshirt, and red sneakers.
