Shooting Leaves 2 Dead, 2 Injured In North Philly House Party
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police say a gunman opened fired into a crowd of people at a house party in North Philadelphia, leaving two dead and injuring two others.
The shooting happened near the corner of 19th and West Diamond Street a little after 12 a.m Saturday.
Authorities were called to the scene regarding a person in the area with a gun. When they arrived they found 2o-year-old Viktoriya Manasyan in the road, shot in the back. She was taken to the hospital but pronounced dead within minutes.
Police say the second victim, 21-year-old Rashawn Tahir Miller, was shot in the head and taken to the hospital. He died nine hours later.
A third victim, a 21-year-old man, was shot in the leg and is in stable condition. A fourth victim, a 23-year-old man, was transported to Taylor Hospital in Ridley Township with two gunshot wounds to his left thigh. He remains in stable condition.
Authorities say they do not believe the victims or suspect are Temple University students.
The university is not far from this area and many students do live close by.
The Philadelphia Homicide Detectives are working this case and they do not have a description of the suspect at this time. They are asking anyone with information to come forward and call police.
