Man arrested after allegedly stabbing father multiple times in Northampton County
PALMER, Pa. (CBS) -- Police say a man that allegedly stabbed his 60-year-old father in Northampton County was arrested on Sunday. Giuseppe "Joey" Rizzolino, 29, stabbed his father, Joseph Rizzolino, multiple times at his home on the 900 block of Mine Line Road around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, according to police.
Giuseppe Rizzolino has been charged with attempt to commit homicide and other related offenses, according to police.
Joseph Rizzolino was transported to the hospital and placed in critical condition, police say.
Giuseppe Rizzolino drove off after the incident, authorities say. Police say he was taken into custody at around 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Giuseppe Rizzolino was arraigned at Northampton County Central Booking. He's currently lodged at Northampton County Prison with bail under $1 million.
