Generald Wilson: Performing At Wing Bowl Was 'Best Experience Of My Life'
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Retired Naval Petty Officer, 1st Class, Generald Wilson has performed the National Anthem at NFL games, NBA games, NHL games, and even during the World Series in his hometown of St. Louis.
But his number one experience? Wing Bowl.
"When I was there with you guys [at the Wing Bowl]---and I'm gonna put this out there and let everybody know," Wilson said Tuesday on the 94WIP Morning Show. "I've been signing since 1998 in stadiums and arenas and stuff like that.
Listen to Generald Wilson on the 94WIP Morning Show:
"But there at the Wing Bowl, I said, 'Oh my God.' This just made history for me because I actually heard them singing loudly with me. To where, it wasn't a performance. It was more of, now I'm directing this mass choir. They wasn't missing a key, they wasn't a note. Even on a part where I go up in the song, I pointed up and they went up with me! I'm like, woah! This is awesome! This is great, so I wanted to make sure I put that out there. That was the best experience I've ever had."
Wilson, who was invited back for Wing Bowl 24 by 94WIP Morning Show host Angelo Cataldi, says he hasn't experienced anything like 94WIP's Wing Bowl.
"It was nothing like it," Wilson said. "I came home and even told my wife, 'You missed it. You should have came with me.'"
