Gas Leak Forces Evacuation At Bucks County Apartment Complex
LEVITTOWN, PA (CBS) -- At Least 200 residents were evacuated because of a gas leak at an apartment complex in Bucks County Sunday.
It was discovered late morning on the 1300 blocked of Veterans Highway in Levittown.
A PECO representative says that the gas and electric service was shut off after detecting the odor. Crews are currently on scene trying to find the source.
The American Red Cross assisted in the evacuation and no injuries have been reported.
PECO is estimating the repair will be completed and the electric restored by midnight. Once it is fixed, everyone will be allowed back inside.
