It is reported that alarm was raised when staff arrived at the smell of gas, which prompted the closing of Central Bucks East High School and the Holicong Middle School.

School officials said the gas leak caused heating-related issues.  The school decided to exercise caution and closed for the safety of its students.

PECO and Midway Volunteer Fire Company officials were on scene to secure the gas line and repair the leak.
