Flyers Visit Devils, Look To Stay Strong On Road

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Flyers will wrap up a six-game road trip on Tuesday night as they visit the New Jersey Devils.
Last time out, the Flyers won in Phoenix 5-3, and they have gone 4-1 through the first five games of this extended road run. Overall, the Flyers are now 21-17-4, and with 46 points they are tied for second in the Metropolitan Division with Washington. Not bad for a team that started the season 1-7.
New Jersey is tied for sixth in the Metropolitan with 42 points, thanks to a 17-18-8 record.
The Flyers and the Devils have already played twice this season, each winning on the other's home ice. The Flyers grabbed a 1-0 decision on November 2nd in Jersey while the Devils shut out the Flyers, 3-0, at the Center, on November 7th.
Ray Emery started both those games in goal against the Devils, and the veteran will be in net again for this game.
Claude Giroux continues to pace the Flyers in scoring with 38 points (12 goals, 26 assists) in 42 games. Former Flyer Jaromir Jagr paces the Devils with 34 points.
