Surging Flyers Go For Two In A Row At Blue Jackets
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Flyers are out in Ohio to take on the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight.
The Flyers come into tonight's game with 82 points, that has them one point behind Detroit for the final wildcard playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
Philadelphia is 9-2-1 in its last 12 games, that includes an impressive 4-1 win last night in Brooklyn over the New York Islanders.
Columbus has just 66 points this season, that is the second lowest total in the Eastern Conference. However, the Blue Jackets have given the Flyers trouble. Philadelphia is just 1-1-1 in three meetings between the two teams this season. But the Flyers did take care of business the last time the two teams got together, Philadelphia smacking Columbus 6-0 at the Center on March 5th.
KYW's Matt Leon spoke with Sarah Baicker of the Comcast Network's "Breakfast On Broad" to talk about the surging Flyers and this match-up in Columbus.
