Flyers Trade For Islanders Defenseman Andrew MacDonald
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The NHL trade deadline is still a day away, but the Flyers are already busy.
The Flyers acquired defenseman Andrew MacDonald from the Islanders. In exchange for Macdonald, the Flyers traded a third round pick in 2014, and a second round pick in 2015.
"If the scouting is right on [Macdonald], it will turn out to be a good move," NHL analyst and former Flyer Jeremy Roenick told 94WIP's Anthony Gargano and Rob Ellis of the trade.
MacDonald, 27 years old, was drafted 160th overall by the Islanders in 2006, and been with the organization ever since.
