Flyers Look To Take Care Of Business In Buffalo
By Matt Leon
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – After back-to-back losses to Tampa Bay and the Rangers, the Flyers will try to get back on track tonight as they visit the Buffalo Sabres.
This would seem to be a great opportunity for the Flyers to grab two points as Buffalo has really struggled all season long. In fact, their 31 points is the lowest total for any team in the NHL.
The Flyers bring a 23-19-4 record into tonight and their 50 points has them sitting fourth in the Metropolitan Division.
This will be the second meeting between these two teams this season. The Flyers won the first, 4-1, back on November 21st in South Philadelphia. Forward Matt Read scored twice in that game for the Flyers and it looks like he will be back in uniform tonight after missing six games with a concussion.
Steve Mason will get the start in net tonight for the Flyers. He is 18-11-4 in 33 starts this season with a 2.46 GAA.
