Flyers Host New Jersey Tonight

By Matt Leon

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Flyers will return home on Tuesday night, welcoming the New Jersey Devils to the Center.

Craig Berube's squad is coming off a 4-3 overtime loss in Toronto on Saturday, but overall they have been playing good hockey as of late. They are 3-1-1 since the Olympic break and 7-1-1 in their last nine overall.

This will be the fourth and final meeting between these longtime rivals. The Flyers have won two of the first three match-ups this season. That includes a 3-2 overtime victory on January 7th in Newark, New Jersey. Brayden Schenn scored the winning goal in that one. In fact, Schenn had the game winning goal in both of the Flyers earlier victories over New Jersey this season.

The Flyers have 73 points, that's good for third place in the Metropolitan Division. New Jersey is in sixth place with 69 points.

Steve Mason is expected to get the start between the pipes for the Flyers.

KYW's Matt Leon spoke with Sarah Baicker of CSNPhilly.com about the match-up with New Jersey.
