Police Rescue Two Dozen Drivers After Rain, Hail Hit Toms River, NJ

TOMS RIVER, N.J., (CBS) -- Police in Toms River, Ocean County rescued roughly two dozen drivers Thursday afternoon, after powerful rain and hail hit much of the area. Many roads are still flooded.
"The engine shut off in the middle of the puddle and we had to get out and push the car," Rick Cerpa told Eyewitness News.
Neighbor Glen Heinzmann couldn't get into his street because of the high water levels. He told Eyewitness News most rain causes Roosevelt Avenue to flood.
"It's every summer. Same problem every summer for the last 15 years," Heinzmann said.
The rain moved out early Thursday evening, but police still expect to have several roads closed on Friday. Authorities told Eyewitness News there were no serious injuries to report.
