ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (CBS) -- A Philadelphia man was arrested after two women were shot in the head in Atlantic City early on Thursday, authorities said.

Gregg Page, 34, is charged with murder, attempted murder and gun charges following the shootings.

Atlantic City police were called to a jetty behind the Flagship Resort in Atlantic City before 5 a.m. Thursday. The hotel is located at North Maine Avenue and Grammercy Place.

Officers on the scene found a woman's body and another woman who was severely injured.

Both women had been shot in the head, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release.

Carley Elbert, a 32-year-old woman from Sewell, New Jersey, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other woman, a 29-year-old from Pleasantville, was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City.

Police located Page and two brothers, 30-year-old Ryan Schenck and 27-year-old Ramir Shenck, the same day in Philadelphia. Prosecutors said the Schencks were with Page on the day of the murder, and both are charged with hindering apprehension.

All three are in a Philadelphia jail and will be extradited to New Jersey.

It wasn't immediately clear what led to the shooting or if Page and the victims knew each other.
