Fire Damages Rowhomes In Reading

READING, Pa. (CBS) -- Firefighters battled a three-alarm fire that broke out inside a set of rowhomes in Berks County Tuesday morning.

Around 7:26 a.m., crews responded to the fire on the 900 block of East Laurel Street in Reading.

Fire officials say the fire started inside one rowhome and spread to at least three others.

One person was taken to Reading Hospital in an unknown condition.

The fire was placed under control at about 9:25 a.m., but authorities say the house where the fire originated has collapsed.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
