2 Hospitalized In West Philadelphia Fire
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Officials say two people were taken to the hospital after a fire in West Philadelphia.
The fire was reported around 7:40 p.m. Monday at the 5500 block of Media Street.
Officials tell Eyewitness News a 16-year-old was taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for smoke inhalation. There is no word on the victim's condition at this time.
Officials say another person was taken to Presbyterian Medical Center with unknown injuries.
The fire has been placed under control.
The American Red Cross responded to the scene to help residents affected by the fire.
