Firefighters Battle 2-Alarm Blaze In Frankford
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Firefighters battled a two-alarm blaze in Philadelphia's Frankford neighborhood Friday night.
The fire broke out around 7:30 p.m. at a building on the 1600 block of Foulkrod Street.
A passerby noticed smoke billowing from the building and ran across the street to the fire station to alert firefighters. The blaze quickly grew to two alarms.
Chopper 3 over the scene captured flames shooting from the roof.

"It's a one-story building. It's about 100 feet deep, so they have fire through the roof upon the arrival. The fire is placed under control at 56 minutes later," said Philadelphia Fire Department Executive Chief Clifford Gilliam.
As many as 75 firefighters tackled the fire from every angle, confining it to just the one building.
"We're not sure what the occupancy of the building was at this time, but at that time there was no one in the building. There's one occupied business next door to that and the fire did not affect that building," said Gilliam.
There were no injuries reported and no evacuations were necessary.
The fire was still smoldering Saturday morning, but firefighters again put the flames out.
The Philadelphia Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze.
