Fire Rips Through Vacant Burlington County Warehouse, Suspends Rail Service

DELANCO TWP., N.J. (CBS) – Crews battled a two-alarm fire that broke out Saturday evening at a vacant warehouse in Delanco, Burlington County.

The fire began around 5:30 p.m. at the warehouse located on the 200 block of Rhawn Street, bear the Delaware River.

Part of the River Line light rail service was temporarily suspended in both directions, but service has since been restored and is running on a normal schedule, according to PATCO.

Crews were were finally able to put out the fire just before 8 :30 p.m.

Officials say there was a partial collapse of the building's roof, and firefighters weren't going inside because the building is vacant.

No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
