Facebook Video Leads To Arrest In Gloucester County Mobile Home Arson
NATIONAL PARK, N.J. (CBS) -- A video posted on Facebook has led to the arrest of two brothers on charges of setting fire to a National Park, New Jersey mobile home early Saturday morning that destroyed the unoccupied residence.
The burning trailer at 7 Riverview Drive in Gloucester County was discovered just before 1 a.m. by a Westville/National Park police officer on patrol.
The fire was brought under control by the Westville and National Park fire departments about 30 minutes later.
An investigation by officials in Gloucester County determined the fire was ignited by direct flame contact with a bed in the trailer.
22-year-old Anthony Pettolina and his brother, 30-year-old Gerald Pettolina, were arrested and charged with second-degree arson, aggravated arson, criminal mischief and burglary.
Investigators were led to the Pettolinas after finding a Facebook video on Anthony's account, showing the two brothers in the trailer before it was burned, and then showing one of them lighting a fire.
Both were being held on $100,000 bail.
