Fatal Motorcycle Accident On Broad Street
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle accident in North Philadelphia.
The accident happened around 11:34 a.m.. Saturday morning on Broad Street.
Authorities say the 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling northbound on broad street, at the same time a 2003 Buick was traveling eastbound on Haines Street.
The driver of the 2003 Buick told authorities he stopped at the stop sign on Haines Street, looked both way on Broad Street and then proceeded into the intersection.
At that time, authorities say the motorcycle collided into the right rear bumper of the vehicle.
The driver of the motorcycle suffered multiple head injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene shortly after.
An investigation is ongoing.
