Family Of Main Line Mother Beaten To Death Will Ask Parole Board To Deny Her Killer Early Release

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (CBS) -- Rafael Robb, the former Penn professor who beat his wife to death as she wrapped Christmas presents, "should stay in prison until he's served every minute of his ten-year sentence." That's the message from law enforcement and the victim's family, as they prepare to once again ask the parole board to deny Robb an early release.
Ellen Gregory Robb was killed by her husband, Rafael Robb in the couple's Upper Merion home. Robb pleaded guilty in 2007 to voluntary manslaughter and was sentenced to 5-10 years in prison.
Current DA Kevin Steele joined the family to ask Robb stay behind bars, as he says Robb has yet to demonstrate any sorry for his actions.
"He has not taken responsibility for this, he has continued to be unrepentant."
Ellen's brother, Gary Gregory says his sister is serving a life sentence, while Robb is in the final year of his prison term.
"This man must fulfill his entire sentence of what is a ridiculously minimal plea bargained sentence of only 10-years."
Robb was granted early release after just five, but that was rescinded after the family spoke up. It prompted State Rep Mike Vereb to sponsor a law that gives family of victims the right to address the parole board.
