Philly School District Sending More Than $350 In Food Aid For Each Child Enrolled In Public School

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The School District of Philadelphia is sending more than $350 in food aid for each child enrolled in public school and some charter schools. The aid comes from the federal government and is based on the number of days schools were closed.

The money will be issued to a Pandemic Benefit Electronic Transfer Card.

If you already have an active EBT card, the funds will be automatically added to that.

That same help will soon go out to families in Allentown.

The Allentown School District says families eligible for free or reduced meals in their schools should receive this federal benefit.
