Experts Estimate Shoppers Spent $34 Billion On Last-Minute Holiday Gifts

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Last-minute shoppers crossed a lot of gifts off of their lists over the weekend. Experts estimate that Americans spent more than $34 billion this past Saturday and Sunday.
That is $2.5 billion more than Black Friday shopping.
With more than 2 million packages delivered this holiday season, Fed-Ex and other services could have delays to some on-time deliveries.
The National Retail Federation predicts the average American will spend $1,047 this holiday season.
