Eagles Sign Najee Goode, Release Julian Vandervelde
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Philadelphia Eagles have signed veteran inside linebacker Najee Goode, the team announced on Tuesday morning.
Goode, 26, spent the last two years with the Eagles before being released on September 5th.
The move comes following injuries to starting inside linebackers Kiko Alonso and Mychal Kendricks. Alonso has a sprained left knee, the same knee that Alonso rehabbed after suffering a torn ACL in 2014.
Alonso's timetable is unknown, although 94WIP's Howard Eskin reported Alonso will miss two to four weeks with just a sprained ACL.
Kendricks suffered a hamstring injury on Sunday against the Cowboys. His timetable is also unknown.
The 0-2 Eagles will face the 2-0 Jets Sunday at Met Life stadium.
