Eagles Sign LB Brad Jones

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- The Philadelphia Eagles announced they have signed LB Brad Jones to a two-year contract on Monday.

The 6-3, 242-pound Jones played his first six NFL campaigns with the Green Bay Packers and totaled 293 tackles, 10 sacks and two forced fumbles in 76 games (36 starts). He has also played in seven career playoff games (five starts) and has 32 tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble. Jones also posted 33 special teams tackles during his career as well as a blocked field goal vs. Atlanta in 2014.

The 28-year-old Jones was a 7th-round draft pick of the Packers in 2009 from the University of Colorado, where he earned a degree in economics. He is a native of East Lansing, MI. He was released by the Packers on February 20.
