Eagles, Septa, And Miller Lite Team Up For Free Week 1 Rides

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) For the second year in a row, Miller Lite is teaming up with SEPTA and the Philadelphia Eagles to bring Miller Lite Free Rides to the Eagles' home opener.  The Original Light Beer will provide fans with free and safe transportation to and from the game on SEPTA's Broad Street Line on Sunday, September 7, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.  Last year over 36,000 fans cheered on the Eagles safely using Miller Lite Free Rides.

"The best play of the game is when fans plan for a safe ride home," said Diane Wagner, MillerCoors Responsibility Initiatives Manager.  "At MillerCoors, we believe that drunk driving is 100 percent preventable.  We encourage Eagles fans to leave their keys at home and let SEPTA be their designated driver."

"Once again we are thrilled that two of our partners, Miller Lite and SEPTA, have teamed up to provide Eagles fans with a free ride to and from our home opener," said Don Smolenski, Eagles President.

SEPTA's Broad Street Line travels from Center City Philadelphia to Lincoln Financial Field, providing fans with easy transfers from SEPTA's buses, Regional Rail trains, the Market-Frankford Line and PATCO.

"The Broad Street Line is always the most convenient way to get to a game," said Joseph M. Casey, SEPTA General Manager. "We are pleased to partner with MillerCoors on the Miller Lite Free Rides program and serve as the designated driver for thousands of fans attending the home opener."

Route and schedule information is available by calling 1-800-FREE-RIDES, texting "FREE RIDES" to 90464, or by visiting www.septa.org.

"As proud residents of Philadelphia for almost 60 years, Muller, Inc. is thrilled to support this important program in our home city," said Sandra Muller, Muller Inc. President. "My management team, along with our loyal employees, encourage Eagles fans to enjoy Miller Time and use the Free Rides program to get home safely."

Miller Lite Free Rides will also be offered in Atlanta on Sunday, September 7, in conjunction with the Falcons' home opener. Since the program's inception, Miller Lite Free Rides has provided safe rides to more than 4.3 million people. For more information, visit www.MillerLiteFreeRides.com.
