Eagles Release Cary Williams
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- The Eagles have released cornerback Cary Williams, the team announced on Tuesday.
Originally a seventh-round draft choice of the Tennessee Titans in 2008, Williams started all 32 games during his Eagles tenure after signing with the team during the 2013 offseason. Williams, 30, notched 111 tackles, five interceptions and 25 passes defensed in his two seasons in Philadelphia.
The Eagles saved $6.5 million in cap space by releasing Williams.
