Drexel Hangs On To Top Delaware 66-62

NEWARK, Del. (AP) — Damion Lee scored 18 points with 11 rebounds and Drexel withstood a late charge to top Delaware 66-62 on Saturday.

Delaware (3-14, 2-4 Colonial Athletic Conference) trailed in the second half by as many as 11 points, but whittled the deficit to two with 29 seconds to go on a layup by Kory Holden. Freddie Wilson made 1 of 2 from the line to make it a three-point game, but next possession Holden missed and Mohamed Bah was fouled on the rebound. He made 1 of 2 to bump it back to four. Delaware's Kyle Anderson missed a 3-pointer with one second left allowing Drexel to hang on for the win.

Lee was only 3 of 12 from the floor, but made all 11 free-throw attempts. Tavon Allen had 13 points and Tyshawn Myles added 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Chivarsky Corbett led Delaware with 15 points.

Drexel (4-13, 2-4) led 35-23 at the break.
