Doylestown Health Offering 10,000 Appointments For First Doses Of COVID-19 Vaccine

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (CBS) -- Doylestown Health started registering thousands of people on Wednesday for new first-dose COVID-19 appointments. It offered 10,000 appointments to people eligible in the current 1A phase.

Most of the slots were already reserved for established patients.

Doylestown Health said it is doing its part to meet the state's goal of scheduling all 1A Pennsylvanians by the end of March.

"It is our hope that these 10,000 new first doses -- in conjunction with the efforts of other hospital, community pharmacies, and the Bucks County Department of Health vaccine clinics -- will be another source of hope and protection for the community, in addition to the 35,000 doses Doylestown Health has already administered," Doylestown Health said in a statement.

The vaccines will be given out between March 29 and April 30.
