Donovan McNabb Says Cowboys Should Get Rid Of Dez Bryant
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Everyone can foresee the Dallas Cowboys being a problem in the coming years with a potential three-headed monster of Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott, and Dez Bryant.
However, former Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb has different ideas for their three-headed monster.
"Think about bringing in a wide receiver that can be a top dog wide receiver and no problems, because at this point you're not even talking about Dez," McNabb said on Mike and Mike via CBSSports.com.
"Remember just a couple weeks ago we were talking about if he was late, how many times he was late, not showing up to treatments, didn't want to hear back news from doctors. That becomes a distraction to the rest of the wide receiver corps. Butler's stepping up and playing well, you have Terrance Williams playing well. I mean, the ageless wonder in [Jason] Witten catching balls and getting first downs. Cole Beasley was granted an opportunity to step away from training camp because he was questioning if he wanted to play football, and he's the No. 1 wide receiver for them. He has that connection with Dak Prescott."

McNabb believes the Cowboys should think about trading both Bryant and Tony Romo, and potentially drafting a receiver early in next year's draft.
"Think about this," McNabb said. "Going into the draft -- their defense has been playing outstanding -- going into the draft, draft a pretty good wide receiver in the second round, go after a defensive player in the first round."
Prescott, Elliott, Bryant, Romo, and the Cowboys are on a bye this week before the host the Eagles on Sunday Night Football. Prescott will reportedly start again for the Cowboys as Romo continues to recover from a back injury.
According to the Dallas Morning News, Jerry Jones expects Bryant, defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence, and cornerback Orlando Scandrick to all return from injury in Week 8 against the Eagles.
