Dog On The Tracks Disrupts SEPTA Service To 69th Street Station
UPPER DARBY, Pa. (CBS) – Commuters riding the SEPTA Market-Frankford train home on Thursday were stopped due to an unfortunate guest on the tracks.
A call reportedly went out around 6:25 p.m. for a dog on the tracks in the area of 69th Street Station in Upper Darby.
Though a train entering the area tried blowing the horn to get the animal to move, it was to no avail, and SEPTA had to cut power to the track.
SEPTA says it took about 40 minutes for authorities to catch the dog, which was handed over to Delaware County Animal Control and is said to be doing well.
Those stuck on the train, however, were not happy. Complaints flooded social media following the incident.
So it's taking @SEPTA more than a half-hour to get a dog off the tracks? And now train whizzing by us empty at 34th Street. Grrrrrrrr

Trains are now running normally.
