Dog Who Flunked Out Of Police Academy Gets New Job

QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA (CBS)-- A police dog who was apparently not cut out for fighting crime has a "Regal" new job.
Gavel, the German shepherd, flunked out of police dog academy in Australia because he was too friendly.
Well, his friendliness paid off.
The governor of Queensland has hired Gavel to be the "Vice Regal Dog."
His duties consist of welcoming visitors and tour groups to the grounds of Queensland's government house.
