PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- One of the Sixers top prospects overseas is heading back to the United States. On Thursday, the Delaware 87ers announced that the team had acquired 2014 second round pick Jordan McRae.

The versatile swing-man will now join the 87ers and can not be called-up to the NBA by any other team besides the Sixers.

McRae played for the Sixers in Summer League action and averaged 21.0 points per game.

McRae was not present at Sixers training camp and went overseas to continue to develop his game in the National Basketball League in Australia. McRae become the top player on Melbourne United during his trip.

In 27 games, McRae averaged 19.9 points in just under 30 minutes per contest. He finished the year as the NBL's second leading scorer.

McRae is the first player with draft rights owned by the Sixers to be acquired by the team's D-League affiliate.

At 6'5, McRae's size and scoring ability fit well into the mold of what the Sixers seem to be developing.
