Gas Leak Forces Evacuations In Montgomery County
HARLEYSVILLE, Pa. (CBS) – According to the fire department, crews are responding to a gas leak in Montgomery County.
The leak occurred around 3:00 p.m. Monday afternoon at 63 Montgomery Drive.
Responders were originally called to the scene for a car accident. Officials confirm that a vehicle struck a house, causing the leak.
PECO officials arrived on the scene and were able to secure the leak at 3:37 p.m.
Residents from nearby homes were evacuated. It is unclear at this time if they are allowed back into their homes.
So far, no word on any injures.
