Residents Displaced After Philadelphia High-Rise Fire
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The American Red Cross says 54 residents were displaced following a high-rise fire in Philadelphia Monday afternoon.
The fire was reported around 3:30 p.m. on the 200 block of South 13th Street.
Officials say the fire was placed under control at 3:51 p.m.
They say no one was injured.
The American Red Cross says 54 residents displaced by the fire are staying at the shelter set up at the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts. The residents have been provided food, cots, blankets, pillows and comfort items.
Three cats affected by the fire are in the care of the Red Paw Relief Team.
There is no word on what caused the blaze.
