Crews Battle Brush Fire Along NJ Turnpike In Cherry Hill

CHERRY HILL, Nj. (CBS) -- A smokey brush fire broke out on Friday afternoon in Cherry Hill around 4:30 p.m.

The blaze burned along the New Jersey Turnpike, about a mile long in different spots. The fire burned on the Northbound side near mile marker 32, the right-hand lane near interchange 4 has been closed so firefighters can put out the fire.

Traffic was backed up for miles approaching the area on both sides.

Firefighters responded to the scene in attempt to get the fire under control.
