Crews Battle 3-Alarm Fire In West Chester

WEST CHESTER, Pa., (CBS) – Flames ripped through a building Monday night in West Chester, Chester County.

The three-alarm fire was reported just before 9:30 p.m. along the unit block of North Church Street.

Flames could be seen shooting from the roof of the building which houses mostly offices and some apartment units on the upper floors.

 

 

A local historian tells CBS 3 the building is over 150 years old.

It took firefighters about three hours to place the blaze under control.

Crews remained on the scene late Monday night to monitor hot spots.

There were no reports of injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
