Cops: Husband Allegedly Stabbed Wife To Death While Children Slept
PENNSVILLE, NJ (CBS) – Police say a man has been charged with murder after his wife was found suffering from multiple stab wounds on the kitchen floor of an apartment in Pennsville, New Jersey.
Authorities say they were responded to the scene after receiving a 911 call for a cardiac emergency.
Upon arrival, they found a female on the floor and her husband standing over her body with blood on his clothing.
Police say three children, ages 15, six and five, were asleep in the home.
Officers placed the man in custody and removed the children from the residence.
Police say the suspect, identified as Nitin Singh, 46, is charged with first degree murder, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Singh's bail has been set at $1 million full cash, police say.
