Consumers Expected To Spend More Than $200 On Mother's Day Gifts Despite Coronavirus Pandemic

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The pandemic apparently isn't deterring people from showing their appreciation for moms. The National Retail Federation predicts consumers will spend more money on their moms this year.
They'll spend an average of $205, which is an increase of $8 from last year.
Electronics, housewares, gardening tools, and books are popular gifts.
Mother's Day is Sunday, May 10.
