Confessed Hitman Hired By New Jersey Rabbi Set For Release

CHERRY HILL, NJ. (CBS) -- One of two hitmen who was hired to kill the wife of a South Jersey rabbi will be released from prison this coming Halloween, one day before the 20th anniversary of the victim's death.
40-year-old Paul Daniels was convicted of aggravated manslaughter for the November 1, 1994 murder of Carol Neulander. She was the wife of former Rabbi Fred Neulander, who is now serving life in prison for arranging for the murder.
Daniels and Len Jenoff were convicted of beating Carol Neulander with a metal pipe, during a staged robbery at her Cherry Hill home. During sentencing in 2003, Daniels said he became an accomplice to the crime so he could get money for drugs.
Jenoff confessed his part of the murder to an Inquirer reporter. Jenoff later wore a wire, and recorded Daniels incriminating himself. Jenoff was released from prison earlier this year.
