Closure On Broad Street Could Cause Traffic Problems

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Southbound Broad Street drivers take note: police have set up a one-block detour that may cause some congestion and back-up at times now through Saturday morning.
The 40th anniversary of Opera Philadelphia is being celebrated in a temporary ballroom set up in area of Broad Street Southbound between Locust and Spruce Streets.
Police are detouring southbound drivers around the block and then back onto broad until 9 a.m. Saturday. They warn that at times, there could be some congestion during heavy travel times.
Northbound lanes are open.
