Chip Kelly Admits Issues With Eagles' Front-Office Structure
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Chip Kelly opened up, sort of, about the front-office structure with the Eagles during his three-year tenure in Philadelphia.
Speaking at the NFL owners' meetings in Boca Raton, Florida -- his first time addressing the media since being fired after the Eagles' Week 16 loss last December -- Kelly admitted he had angst with Eagles' management.

Kelly revealed he was not responsible for two massive contracts given to free-agent running back DeMarco Murray (five years, $42 million) and free-agent cornerback Byron Maxwell (six years, $63 million).
In fact, Kelly told reporters "he never negotiated a contract in his life" and had limited contact with Howie Roseman explaining, "It wasn't set up that way."
Furthermore, Kelly admitted he was unhappy with the front-office structure in Philadelphia and the firing of Tom Gamble in December of 2014 compounded his misgivings. According to Kelly, it was Jeffrey Lurie's decision to give him complete personnel control prior to the 2015 season.
"We met after the season and discussed what was going on," Kelly said via NJ.com. "It ultimately was his decision. But I didn't ask for anything...I would have been content to just go hire a general manager."
Kelly is now reunited with Gamble in San Francisco and called his new front-office "outstanding."
