Children's Choir Made Up Of Orphans From Uganda Returning To Philadelphia Area

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A children's choir comprised of orphans from Uganda is expected to draw standing room only crowds at a half-dozen concerts in the Philadelphia area this weekend.
The Wototo Children's Choir is made up of 18 children orphaned through loss of one or both of their parents because of poverty or disease-- like HIV and AIDs.
"The Wototo Church takes them in and provides them shelter, food education," says Chioma Azi, who works for the African Cultural Alliance of North America.
She says every couple of years, children from Wototo travel the world to sing and share their stories of redemption and to raise money about their cause:
"They're amazing because they are kids who gone through unimaginable trauma and hardship, but when you see them perform, they just have so much joy."
The choir will perform their new production -- "Oh What Love" -- all around the region beginning this weekend through next week.
They will be at the following venues:
-- Spring House, Penn. - Bethlehem Baptist Church (712 Penllyn Pike) on Friday, June 12 at 6:30 p.m.
-- Philadelphia, Penn. - African Cultural Alliance of North America, Inc. (5530 Chester Ave.) on Saturday, June 13 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
-- Marlton, N.J. - Marlton Assembly of God (625 East Main St.) on Wednesday, June 17 at 7 p.m.
--Chester, Penn. - Saint Daniel's United Methodist Church (315 Edwards St.) on Thursday, June 18 at 7 p.m.
--Plymouth Meeting, Penn. - Storehouse Church (1090 Germantown Pike) on Saturday, June 20 at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Sunday, June 21 at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
