8-Year-Old Girl Dies After Being Struck By Hit-And-Run Driver In Overbrook

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — An 8-year-old girl died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Overbrook Friday afternoon.
It happened around 3:15 p.m. near 63rd Street and Lansdowne Avenue.
City police say the girl was struck by the driver of a gray or silver Nissan Altima or Maxima. Authorities believe the driver may have fled southbound on 63rd Street.
The child was transported to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where she died.
An investigation is ongoing.
