Chick-Fil-A Recalls Popular Chocolate Chunk Cookies
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Chick-Fil-A is voluntarily recalling their chocolate chunk cookies over peanut allergen concerns.
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the recall was initiated after it was discovered by CSM during post-production testing that flour containing low-levels of undeclared peanut, as a result of incidental contact, was provided by a supplier to CSM Bakery Solutions, the company that provides the cookies to Chick-Fil-A.
Due to this exposure the products could pose a serious or life-threatening risk to customers who are allergic to peanuts.
So far, no illnesses have been reported.
Consumers who have purchased the product are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Anyone with questions may contact CSM Bakery Solutions at 1-800-241-8526.
